Jenn Felts, designer of Tokyo Twiggy, is originally from Dallas, Texas, but is now an Indiana-based fashion designer. Felts earned her Bachelor’s degree in fashion design from the Art Institute of Indianapolis. When it comes to her inspirations in life and being a designer, Felts stated that traveling is one her biggest inspirations, as well as designers; Rei Kawakubo, Issey Miyaki, Yohji Yamamoto, Vivienne Westwood, and Anna Sui.
Since her time as a designer, Felt’s most proudest accomplishments are graduating, winning the Indiana Fashion Week Emerging Designer Competition in 2019, and being accepted to showcase her work at London and Milan Fashion Week, the latter of which not many designers can say they have accomplished.
As for being a designer in Indiana, Felts expressed how she “loves how diverse the community is and how willing everyone is to help and support each other.” and gave one piece of advice for other fashion designers, “Keep pursuing your dreams and be willing to help others achieve theirs.”
